What is 'Band in a Box?'
COVID-19 has forced most K-8 students to start their school year clicking, and dragging, through remote
learning.
Trapped behind their computer screens, a lot of our students will miss the needed creative, social and personal development magic that can only be found in their music and performing arts classes. ‘Band in a Box’ counters the strain of remote learning by boxing up musical instruments, hands-on music education activities and sends them to students in need.
Why is Music an Important Part of STEM Learning?

Modestly improve core competencies in Math, Reading, Social Emotional skills and Comprehension (SAT Research, 2012)

COVID is rapidly changing what school looks like for our kids. But the numbers continue to show that: Band class, whether online or in-person, builds character for our students. And provides them with a boxful of development skills that can give them a statistically-relevant edge that leads into their academics and career goals.
Help Us Build The Biggest Band Class, Ever!
Band in a Box aims to provide free instruments and the best online band class, ever, to as many of our local K-8 students as possible. Here’s what we can do with the following contribution levels:

$100​: Sponsor a class with instrument boxes and online activities for the Fall semester.
​
$500​: Sponsor a class with instrument boxes and online activities for school year 2020-2021.
​
$1000​: Sponsor 2 grade levels at a school with instrument boxes and online activities for school year 2020-2021.
​
$5000​: Sponsor a school (K-8) with instrument boxes and online activities for the school year 2020-2021.
​
$10000:​ Sponsor 2 schools grades (K-8) with instrument boxes and online activities for the school year 2020-2021.
